I have been so blessed to have Shelli in my life. There has been many great times and memories and a few rough times along the way but we managed to endure. During that time we managed to raise a beautiful family of three lovely daughters who I'm so proud they call me dad! They are all doing so well starting families of their own and I love all three of my son-in-laws and our four grandchildren. I bought these multi-colored roses for Shelli instead of red roses because our anniversary just happens to fall on Easter Sunday this year and they looked like spring time. I love you Shelli and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together and the eternities.<br /><div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-32321655458850218872009-03-29T17:59:00.000-07:002009-03-29T18:37:18.290-07:00Retirement!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzMaXl6AIKe5C6rdcT6A2MSJ21xAREL4mcDVCiV3KqX_QEIEOUdmWHRLP8O_BRxK9W62MkuN5752bhD_MWTTS2VljyHeeadS_6Eh9b6AaAbzdaNR8elb54_ivSygfPKtJMup7fpTXXPIqS/s1600-h/P3290123.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318779838877318530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzMaXl6AIKe5C6rdcT6A2MSJ21xAREL4mcDVCiV3KqX_QEIEOUdmWHRLP8O_BRxK9W62MkuN5752bhD_MWTTS2VljyHeeadS_6Eh9b6AaAbzdaNR8elb54_ivSygfPKtJMup7fpTXXPIqS/s320/P3290123.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>It's hard to believe, 49 years old, 31 years of service, and now I rank <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">among</span> the retirees of General Motors. As of April 1, 2009 it will be official. I accepted the GM incentive package to retire with a monthly pension, vehicle voucher and cash, and full benefits, which was being offered to employees with 30 or more years of service. The <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">decision</span> was a hard one to make. With uncertain times ahead and the fact that in <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">February,</span> I was reduced as an electrician and offered to either take a lay off from Skilled Trades or go back to work the production line. I decided that taking a pay cut of $5.00 per hour and working in production was still better than being laid off. With the possibility of even more cut backs in contractual issues and benefits I said enough is enough. I felt that the incentive offer being given at this time is probably the best it is going to get, so I closed this chapter of my life at GM and retired. I look forward to what lies ahead. I'm currently in school looking to get into the medical field in Respiratory Therapy but I also have an appointment later this week at Michigan Institute of Aviation Technology in their Energy Industry field, possibly in wind power (green energy). I'm very excited about that and with my electrical back ground I think that may be a better fit for me then the medical field so we'll see what happens. I'll keep you posted.</div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-29955622667034959322009-03-02T17:14:00.000-08:002009-03-02T17:28:45.973-08:00Rt. knee surgery<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5giMaWol0SqxLAX6rNgzOZcPMgh1o2Z63yLdwZMdtJUWU_hpfWbHWMAoMfzJGoxS84enE0YntShPTr9mIcj69WCvCNpT1k2JwDV42jUASsgctsYNeBD6xXQM7zz7mH9ari8P2-68NNsfr/s1600-h/P2050090.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308764783254617138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5giMaWol0SqxLAX6rNgzOZcPMgh1o2Z63yLdwZMdtJUWU_hpfWbHWMAoMfzJGoxS84enE0YntShPTr9mIcj69WCvCNpT1k2JwDV42jUASsgctsYNeBD6xXQM7zz7mH9ari8P2-68NNsfr/s320/P2050090.JPG" border="0" /></a> Well, here I go again. Another surgery, this time I had reconstructive ACL surgery on my Rt. knee. This is the same knee that has been bothering me most of my entire adult life. This also makes surgery #3 on the same knee. I hasd torn cartilage removed in 1978. Then over 20 years later I had an exam on the knee and was told that the ACL was torn. So I had the ACL replace in Jan. of 2000 but for whatever reason the graft did not take and the knee was never stablized. This time I had a new procedure call a Double Bundle ACL implanted which should stablize the knee front to back and side to side. The operation was on Feb 6th, 2009 and so far so good. Physical therapy is going very well and with any luck I'll be good as new, almost, very soon.<br /><div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-64169262188039762322008-11-18T14:02:00.001-08:002009-03-02T17:31:21.188-08:00Pec Surgery<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkEP-8LCgJ4TLbGrI-c6KbK6xhAQ7ODA935XYuqbSxh1c3FczNk-8MAyfW3E4_oNpO8dTVYGnQKIp_kCTIKlK1WJEdrJXpaCVlo_YkgRLIKoQ9tg5gDuESJQxSTwPimXOp9FnWCKAtAzQv/s1600-h/PB170243.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5270122219728885794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkEP-8LCgJ4TLbGrI-c6KbK6xhAQ7ODA935XYuqbSxh1c3FczNk-8MAyfW3E4_oNpO8dTVYGnQKIp_kCTIKlK1WJEdrJXpaCVlo_YkgRLIKoQ9tg5gDuESJQxSTwPimXOp9FnWCKAtAzQv/s320/PB170243.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ8yk_Khb0vVXcFJthgWdfGeMGoesbe7QT-0Uww3bsaPMoP57Nq5r9zV5IiQ-unxy7URZ2P2gb9znMcg9snyDbP9iMIU0wszX6zx0RQ7oj22lJALVZ0P8c6JTXdDJ3-Zo9w82i0IDuQqH1/s1600-h/PB170242.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5270122215352379378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ8yk_Khb0vVXcFJthgWdfGeMGoesbe7QT-0Uww3bsaPMoP57Nq5r9zV5IiQ-unxy7URZ2P2gb9znMcg9snyDbP9iMIU0wszX6zx0RQ7oj22lJALVZ0P8c6JTXdDJ3-Zo9w82i0IDuQqH1/s320/PB170242.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxyT2EAaLVahJY2GU6QBXKn51shWQn7wLvxY1Vo9cmDcDj7cy6OjLDIU6O_8GCdB94K98JNaXKb-fyrpWE7yd5qiWeOVI3TUx1sIvDKgXKf4qaTHYGToMmF4XNTpbuypHMm4msscn6SMPL/s1600-h/PB170241.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5270122211237046898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxyT2EAaLVahJY2GU6QBXKn51shWQn7wLvxY1Vo9cmDcDj7cy6OjLDIU6O_8GCdB94K98JNaXKb-fyrpWE7yd5qiWeOVI3TUx1sIvDKgXKf4qaTHYGToMmF4XNTpbuypHMm4msscn6SMPL/s320/PB170241.JPG" border="0" /></a> September 30th, while bench pressing 185#, my right pec partially detached. I had been bench pressing over 200 lbs. earlier that day, when I dropped down in weight is when it blew. I couldn't figure out why that would happen, but Shelli said, that is exactly why that happened, it was just too much of an overload for me. The only silver lining was after 2 weeks, I found I was still able to pull my bow and arrow, but as you read in the other post, without much success.:(<br />Here I am getting ready to have my surgery. The nurses were nice, the surgery was an hour long, the recovery also lasted about an hour. One big benefit is that I have the "hottest" therapist in town, living with me. It should make recovery alot easier. I have to keep my arm in a sling for 2 weeks, that will make it difficult to do many things, including showering. I may just need Shelli to shower with me....I can hear my girls now, EEWWW, GROSS!!!!<br /><br /><div></div></div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-69881653984339424742008-11-18T13:52:00.000-08:002008-11-18T14:01:59.403-08:002008 Deer hunting seasonWell this was a very interesting and exciting hunting season for me. With the first time DNR has banned baiting in lower Michigan, I had to resort to actually "hunting" instead of drawing them in with bait. During the bow season using calls, and scents, I was able to call in four bucks to my tree. Each one got bigger, beginning with a 3 pt., then a 4 pt, a 6 pt, and finally an 8 pt. Without getting into all the details, unfortunate circumstances caused me to miss my shots (my bow sights being off, shooting around and hitting branches). Unfortunately I did hit a 3 pt during bow season but was unable to find the deer. The arrow was a complete pass through, but the blood trail stopped. Firearms season, opening day, I did shoot a doe. I saw 9 deeer, but no bucks. This was the most miserable opening day since I began hunting in 1980. It was cold, and rainy. Although my hunting suit kept me dry, my 2 pair of gloves got wet, and once my hands were wet and cold, there was just no recovery, I was freezzzzzing. Thats about it. Rachel, I spared you the picture of the doe!!:) What I will tell you is the night before firearm, I had the cutest little fawn buck come under my tree, within arrow range, and thought to myself "I just can't shoot him, he is just too cute". I let him go.Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-42363834121762036912008-10-28T10:48:00.000-07:002008-10-28T10:51:01.576-07:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWdOEhFicspv6CDu1m4ILDM0np9CeFNOCUC0MsDuJsLYzJZIyPYdVN7UfSAMKUuexhjgFXX-wIVujUPnbjLbu1j4dKGusqRiFm_gn4lEODefA9qfpD1ApJwjlfpAaGzlY48RqUt6kMK6b9/s1600-h/Picture+131.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262263466612658290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWdOEhFicspv6CDu1m4ILDM0np9CeFNOCUC0MsDuJsLYzJZIyPYdVN7UfSAMKUuexhjgFXX-wIVujUPnbjLbu1j4dKGusqRiFm_gn4lEODefA9qfpD1ApJwjlfpAaGzlY48RqUt6kMK6b9/s320/Picture+131.jpg" border="0" /></a> Happy Halloween to all, opps, did I do that!<br /><div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-13916645797577897262008-10-20T07:53:00.000-07:002008-10-20T07:59:47.687-07:00Presidential Nominee David MoraA friend from the UAW thought I could do just as good a job or better than McCain or Obama, check out the link. Here we were playing town. It was a little play set with fire engine, mail truck, garage and ramps to drive on and little people to ride on the vehicles. The part where Sulley puts Boo to bed. He loved that part, so when she would go to bed it was time for Nathan to go to bed. It was so cute because after bath he would run downstairs all cleaned up in his jammies and dive on the couch next to me ready to watch Monster's. We have a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">fitness</span> center with a large <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">variety of machine and dead weights. We were bench pressing and out of the blue my right side pic and bicep muscle poped, on the front edge of my underarm. My bicep developed a huge bruise, worst than what is pictured. My first thoughts were, tomorrow is opening day of bow hunting and I just tore a muscle. You idiot! No warning or anything, the weight felt good, 185lbs, I was pushing up my 7th rep and then pow! Not good. So I have been taking it easy trying not to use my right arm but I keep tweaking it, ouch! I haven't tried pulling my bow yet and I have an appt. with an Orthopedic surgen on Monday the 13th. If it is torn I may need surgey to repair it. So, no fall season golfing or deer hunting, maybe, how sad! I'm giving my arm time to heal before I try to pull the bow back to shoot, I'll try next week. </span><div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-72281319743887073532008-09-20T20:15:00.001-07:002008-09-20T20:43:22.847-07:00Friday 9-12-08 Cedar Point<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnMP0gU32DeK7NdX368WDW24mAkua9yJ_vpbdSfcG-H6cUnDTLn1UPxlQj69azS9sXR3KUkvHsVq4QwLf9zvF1HYgQcD10SDKQO-Gv6RmBftm8XcUlt2l0p8DkHUakZa9xadKBAxhx2FJW/s1600-h/P9120052.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5248309474956131634" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnMP0gU32DeK7NdX368WDW24mAkua9yJ_vpbdSfcG-H6cUnDTLn1UPxlQj69azS9sXR3KUkvHsVq4QwLf9zvF1HYgQcD10SDKQO-Gv6RmBftm8XcUlt2l0p8DkHUakZa9xadKBAxhx2FJW/s320/P9120052.JPG" border="0" /></a> Well after a gorgeous week of weather the weekend arrived for our planned Cedar Point trip with Tom and Michelle and the forcast was for rain and lots of it! We had a decision to make on whether to go or not - so we decided to chance it and go anyways because even if it rains a little they'll still run some of the rides. Here Tom, Michelle and Shelli prepare to ride the "Dragster". I had already rode on it and decided not to ride again and took some pics. This ride takes off at literally 120 mph, then climbs straight up 420 ft. in a spiral, over the top and back down to the station in about 17 seconds. Whew, what a ride! This was Shelli's favorite.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtoJLf4no5D7XdReYvgr2BmLBNhCnaGuNVXCdJrj2vbsrzX-hghSj-aLwUy6fIMy4HIo_ktYFMq0sIb-Y_QuWIu6f-Jg5Hy-49dlT0_Omq5bKh0q6qo3xXzc0klUbnj8Le_eNvn9TW6RgG/s1600-h/P9120046.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5248309485048799794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtoJLf4no5D7XdReYvgr2BmLBNhCnaGuNVXCdJrj2vbsrzX-hghSj-aLwUy6fIMy4HIo_ktYFMq0sIb-Y_QuWIu6f-Jg5Hy-49dlT0_Omq5bKh0q6qo3xXzc0klUbnj8Le_eNvn9TW6RgG/s320/P9120046.JPG" border="0" /></a> Here we are waiting to ride in the front row of the "Raptor". You ride on a rail with dips and flips and twists, you name it. The best part of this night was that the rain forcast must of scared a lot of people away because it seemed like we had the whole park to ourselves. They closed at midnight so from 8:00pm to midnight we rode on everything multiple times without having to wait in any lines. It was great. I was proud of Shelli and myself because we were handling all the big coasters with their major first drops and wild rides. Again what made the night was the no wait for a ride because as you, know on a busy day it usually take an hour or longer just to get on one ride. My favorite was the "Millineum Force" it was fast and smooth. The "Magnum" coaster beat us up. Anyways too much to write about, it was a fun and wild weekend!<br /><div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-41261943856666436442008-09-20T19:52:00.001-07:002008-09-20T20:14:51.219-07:00Saturday 9-13-08 Cedar Point<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghJYiql570ha-gozabEt-h8O3K-Cz12mOdNI8-DhyphenhyphendnqYyjscBsV0h_qmblSszmvFyTrhz-dIyfHzoPKxjsMlys-VCZrgjAliAUBPhOGbbgct9WzwJCDmQpfrneOA14AQfRk3GQ0x1a499/s1600-h/P9120055.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5248303742452686722" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghJYiql570ha-gozabEt-h8O3K-Cz12mOdNI8-DhyphenhyphendnqYyjscBsV0h_qmblSszmvFyTrhz-dIyfHzoPKxjsMlys-VCZrgjAliAUBPhOGbbgct9WzwJCDmQpfrneOA14AQfRk3GQ0x1a499/s320/P9120055.JPG" border="0" /></a> Well Saturday morning the rain caught up to us, but thank goodness Tom had these matching rain suits to keep us dry.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7QZP0h9_unF4IsD858s_i1s45T49BFC0WAbf8LwCfhKSFonqOIrSqETEeWQaSxHUqwPQ0Vt-MaswFPJbcrpHMry8oPKm6JJ9GxqbwO3qbMkl4oXzOe7ALWMthn-kpgfiFmntOiDR6XcVN/s1600-h/P9120056.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5248303761153738130" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7QZP0h9_unF4IsD858s_i1s45T49BFC0WAbf8LwCfhKSFonqOIrSqETEeWQaSxHUqwPQ0Vt-MaswFPJbcrpHMry8oPKm6JJ9GxqbwO3qbMkl4oXzOe7ALWMthn-kpgfiFmntOiDR6XcVN/s320/P9120056.JPG" border="0" /></a> Don't they look so cute!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrOqMYrLIqGNt39CHoal05_WTvjwPmRjHCrXZloNdFUgexlebKBHDGBV9f30x-DNG1fXNu86k3XBPLD2WT8QcyJJ1txu7zZ7kDuEzhMLLzy7Qi1rnHjBSMc4rRezGUD-gEdtF0U_gxbQ1J/s1600-h/P9130072.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5248303767028727874" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrOqMYrLIqGNt39CHoal05_WTvjwPmRjHCrXZloNdFUgexlebKBHDGBV9f30x-DNG1fXNu86k3XBPLD2WT8QcyJJ1txu7zZ7kDuEzhMLLzy7Qi1rnHjBSMc4rRezGUD-gEdtF0U_gxbQ1J/s320/P9130072.JPG" border="0" /></a> After lunch it stopped raining and we had a great time without having to wear our matching suits. It's a huge swing that goes up like a 100 feet or so. When you swing down from that height you really feel it your stomach. It was a fun weekend with Tom and Michelle and we lucked out with the rain because back home only 3 hrs away it rained non-stop the entire weekend.<br /><div></div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-40004992088550301952008-08-30T18:19:00.000-07:002008-08-30T18:53:07.178-07:00Chrysler's Arts, Beats and Eats.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp2H3tk9mdPMx6hy7ITyekXsdzCAoTK3sNySGI4xls_dTa6Mr-zrfH3HJjFEUyt7JN1desxKKiTLSe1nqCCNI022VB0rTwDE6NeJGzPRo2FXKqSXjY0X_rhKO7OlVFQAK-KG7EKvWQALSQ/s1600-h/P8300026.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240487995236431026" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp2H3tk9mdPMx6hy7ITyekXsdzCAoTK3sNySGI4xls_dTa6Mr-zrfH3HJjFEUyt7JN1desxKKiTLSe1nqCCNI022VB0rTwDE6NeJGzPRo2FXKqSXjY0X_rhKO7OlVFQAK-KG7EKvWQALSQ/s320/P8300026.JPG" border="0" /></a> 8-30-08 Downtown Pontiac at the annual Chrysler Arts, Beats and Eats outdoor festival. This photo was taken on top of the Phoenix Center looking north up Saginaw street. It's very crowed, the city basicly shut down the street for the entire Labor Day weekend and have vendors all over with their crafts, food and stages for band at the end of some of the side streets. The main band events take place on top, on the Phoenix Center's main stage. Tonights main band is Boney James, smooth jazz. A couple of years ago we stayed for Rick Springfield (Jessie's girl) and the year before we saw the B 52 Bombers (Love Shack) they were crazy.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNUmIhT3Cd5YbLgYgpozGqcsr5p4umSn9Y2UnJoMFX7_Cv-EvuX4f-0bwObIYgNNDquNWLvTQ9g3ep-jUZsSULQAxL3GL22oszNY73mf7YWlxzgLv7LCT8uXjxbqV2WEfcP_SFItaKWwbN/s1600-h/P8300023.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240487998348881378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNUmIhT3Cd5YbLgYgpozGqcsr5p4umSn9Y2UnJoMFX7_Cv-EvuX4f-0bwObIYgNNDquNWLvTQ9g3ep-jUZsSULQAxL3GL22oszNY73mf7YWlxzgLv7LCT8uXjxbqV2WEfcP_SFItaKWwbN/s320/P8300023.JPG" border="0" /></a> They also have Carnival rides. What a dope, I didn't get a picture with us all for the blog but manage to get in a shot with Jeff and the Wendy's girls. We met them on Friday evening. Where did life go? I wanted to post a pic of myself but decided to post 2 pics of me and my sweet little grandkids Nathan and Eva. Boy, how time flys. They will both be here next month for visits, can't wait. Should be fun. I'm at work right now but when I get home I plan on finishing opening the pool today (attach filter, pump and hoses). After that I'll clean up and go out to dinner with shelli for my b-day.<br />Shelli ordered an (igolf Neo) GPS toy for me as a gift. It can hold up to 10 golf courses at a time and I can down load any course in the country into it. What it does is, it gives me the distance to the front, center and back of each green and some of the hazards on the golf courses from where ever I'm at on the course, cool!Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-5197408645978924842008-05-12T10:39:00.000-07:002008-05-12T17:05:22.177-07:00New church callingThis past Sunday 5-10-08 I was released from the Y.M. Presidencey and called into the Primary. Can you believe it, me in Primary. Well they placed me in with Bro. Olson and the CTR something, 6 and 7 year olds. Now before this I was 2nd Counselor with the Deacon Quorum, 12 and 13 year olds, for 3 years. So being with the 6 and 7 year olds Sunday and the 12 and 13 year olds from before, I really couldn't tell a difference, ha ha. Those little ones were cracking me up all day. Like when Bro. Olson asked "who wants to give opening prayer" and Adam Bitner jumps up raising his hand and says" I don't" or when Andrew Belliston asked me if we were going to be chipmunks, could we be chipmunks today and I'm like, "What". That's just a couple of examples, oh I almost forgot Adam was sitting next to me playing with the veins that stick up on the back of my hand rubbing his finger across them and pulling on them. This is going to be a very interesting calling, oh, did I mention sharing time. Whew! We'll see how long it takes to loose my sanity. I have to admit it was fun.Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-12120944354673548952008-05-08T17:20:00.000-07:002008-12-08T14:09:38.566-08:00It's Morel Mushroom Time<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4xkXhXa8vr15x1B4dTJWghom0QLHnbZB4V7RwwXtUfrQ5nEKmNccD2YdLjqX76ApskkEq6500SEaFBuwVT6eqbqM9tBg2ovVZF1wCdvUlS2_fHorMtX3IwmVeLHj1FN_NGHZsCRGyx1Nt/s1600-h/Picture+1287.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5198167036065934914" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4xkXhXa8vr15x1B4dTJWghom0QLHnbZB4V7RwwXtUfrQ5nEKmNccD2YdLjqX76ApskkEq6500SEaFBuwVT6eqbqM9tBg2ovVZF1wCdvUlS2_fHorMtX3IwmVeLHj1FN_NGHZsCRGyx1Nt/s320/Picture+1287.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Well, it's that time of the year again where you can find in the fields, wood lots and sometimes even in the backyard, those tiny morsels, the morel mushrooms. I have my secret spots around home where I can find them. This is my first time out this season and I was able to find 58 mushrooms. They are considered a delicacy and have a nutty taste. None of my girls will eat them, they think they are gross. Michelle thinks they look like the alien pods from the movie "Aliens". They do have bugs in at times because they are hollow but I bath them in saltwater and the bugs come out. Once cleaned, sauteed in garlic butter and onions, mmm, mmm! The season usually last until the 1st or 2nd week in June, so plenty of time to find more!</div>Davehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12160024399434000213noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7907293263496923585.post-17692225746844108562008-04-26T09:48:00.000-07:002008-12-08T14:09:38.694-08:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnJ-MKJkUhgynl5Qy5C_f10cuQHee0hCIP68m2Ql9SykoybIgiPdWxeoM8FDN_BpiYzk6i0vkiOENAnR92l5p2wovmKsDvDBc0Ew_rRKBcMr4xa3w9nOPZSELl5nhB0685z35crtLjVG-r/s1600-h/10-2-07+Nathan+with+pumpkin.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193597188427256258" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnJ-MKJkUhgynl5Qy5C_f10cuQHee0hCIP68m2Ql9SykoybIgiPdWxeoM8FDN_BpiYzk6i0vkiOENAnR92l5p2wovmKsDvDBc0Ew_rRKBcMr4xa3w9nOPZSELl5nhB0685z35crtLjVG-r/s320/10-2-07+Nathan+with+pumpkin.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div></div><br />Happy birthday Nathan! I've shot many, many deer since Shelli's dad introduced me to deer hunting. That was the following season after we got married, Nov. of 1980. I started Bow hunting in 1983.
